The New York Botanical Garden is an excellent place to photograph orchids. Thousands of these orchids are showcased in the conservatory to celebrate their beauty every spring. Here are a few from my collection.
“Nature gives to every time and season some beauties of its own.”- Charles Dickens
Anyone who’s ever gazed out at a beautiful sunset or a flowering mountain range can feel in awe at their own nothingness. We are compelled to stand there and look, listen, breathe and perhaps take a picture for the memory. I have no specific goals with these photos except that I loved taking them and hope that you enjoy them as much as I did.
The warm colors of a setting sun is guaranteed to enchant us. Like love, it leaves one breathless with appreciation for mother nature as we savor every last bit of it's beauty. I'm glad I took this sunset home with me the other day. I have since added it to my collection.
We were supposed to get at least four inches of snow but by the time I got to the trail there wasn't a whole lot. Guess I got up too late and this could very well be the last snow of the season!
Happy Valentine's Day to all you lovebirds out there! Here's a paper rose for you guys.
Still some of my favorite photos of winter.
Revisited a favorite photo from a few months ago and discovered that it is even more lovely in B&W!
